Trainee pool
ENCORE acts as a go-between in setting up a trainee pool. This pool will consist of students who are finishing their bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics/applied economics and who have successfully completed courses in micro-economics, industrial organization, or competition and regulation. For many of these students, it might be interesting (and efficient) to combine a traineeship with writing a thesis/master’s thesis.
On the demand side, competition authorities, regulators, ministries and research institutes will provide opportunities for traineeships lasting for 3-6 months.
On the supply side, economic departments and ENCORE Fellows will signal the availability of their students as trainees.
ENCORE surveys the economics departments of international universities to see whether their study programmes require traineeships.
