Brown Bags
During an ENCORE Brown Bag Meeting, one international visitor has a central role. The visitor will typically answer questions and discuss his/her recent research on policy bottlenecks with the participants. It is a closed and informal meeting which aims at discussing with an expert in a free and open manner, but on the basis of a prepared document – usually a (working) paper authored by the speaker. It is a flexibly organized and small meeting, close to the working environment of those who initiated the Brown Bag Meeting.
As ENCORE Brown Bag Meetings are closed and are informal meetings, no formal minutes are made. ENCORE can adjust or expand the planned Brown Bag Meetings according to changing current events in 2007 or unexpected international visitors.
ENCORE Brainstorm Sessions are being held according to the Chatham House Rule.
